1 year together

As promised I am posting about my weekend (actually blogging from uni, this is not a common occurrence).

So yes, as I said I went to Kingston on Friday to see Nick. Didn't go till the afternoon so he could get some work done in the morning and once I got there we decided it would be nice to go to the cinema but once we looked at the cinema listings realised there wasn't anything we were desperate to see and so ordered Dominos and watched a movie at home instead. As you can see from the photo Nick was just a little hungry and we ended up ordering the amount of food that Dominos recommends for 5 people!!! Anyway we ate a decent amount of it and had the rest the next day. Was really nice to see his house and meet his house mates (house is so cute I want it, so homely and lovely).

Far too much food for 2 people!

So onto Saturday (our actual 1 year anniversary). I gave him his card and advent calender (I didn't get a card as he had left it in the gym silly boy). And then we lazed around before deciding we should make a move and walked to the train station where we got the train to Waterloo and then the tubes to Harrods. Spent a couple hours in Harrods looking at puppies, buying nice chocolates and highlight has got to be watching a woman who had brought her dog in, drop it and then watch the shop assistants running around trying to catch it haha. Nick bought part of my xmas present (a gorgeous pale pink Harrods purse). And then we headed to Winter Wonderland where we got some food (just burger and chips) and then got some silly tokens which we couldn't use for anything. Eventually went on the big wheel which was amazing and could see all over the park! Finally went home and watched a movie, was a very perfect day in all and can't beleive we have been together a whole year, doesn't feel that long at all and I am so happy so have him (yes getting soppy). Love you lots Nick.

Came home on Sunday and stayed home alone before coming back to Oxford today. Just started to eat my dinner and my chicken Kiev isn't cooked :( Oh well cous cous it is for tonight.

It's official, I am useless!

So as the title says, I am useless!

I thought I was doing so well blogging once a week but no then I go and stop for ages. Have been VERY busy these past couple of weeks and it is still very busy so will apologise in advanced that I may not post again for a while. Once again only going to cover the main points.

George's Birthday
So last weekend I went up to Sheffield again for George's birthday. Becca anther friend from school came as well and we stayed for 3 nights until the Sunday. First night we didin't do much but chat then the second day was her actual birthday. We went out to Cafe Rouge where I had a smoked salmon omelette for breakfast and then headed to Revs (yes at 12am) as we had been told you got a free cocktail if you booked a table. This turned out to be true and so we had cocktails before heading home and relaxing for the afternoon. Then it was time to get ready and so we started drinking and preparing ourselves (was american high school themed). Me and George went in cheerleader outfits and Becca went as a Geek. There was a bit of a house party/pre drinks before going out then we went to a club called Leadmill. Was a good night but we lost Becca to some random guy so spent quite a bit of time trying to find her, then went to an Indian for a SIT DOWN dinner at half 3 in the morning which was a little too confusing for my brain to understand why it was even open so I took myself off to get some chips. Got back home and went to sleep, woke up the next day to find I had bitten all my nails off and they were horrid and red and sore, stupid me. Next day we didn't even get out of PJs just ate and lazed around and then I headed back to Oxford the next day to start revising for the test I had on Tuesday. Pleased I did go back early, ended up with 70% and highest mark in the class so very pleased with myself.

Me (cheerleader) and Becca (Geek) on George's birthday night out
Michael McIntyre
Next exciting thing to happen was on Wednesday when I had my lecture in the morning (not exciting) then drove to Becky's house as we had tickets to see the comedian Michael McIntyre. Got to hers quite early so chatted and had some dinner, then realised we were running late so went very fast down the motorway to her grandparents house where we parked the car and ran to the train station, got our tickets and only just made it onto the train. 20mins later we arrived at Wembley and walked to the arena not having a clue where we were going just following other people who we were hoping were going to the show as well. Didn't have to line up outside at all, went straight in, bought a programme and found our seats. Our seats were quite far away, next time I would really like to be on the front row but it was still good they had big screens so you didn't miss anything and a lot of his jokes were very funny although he did repeat a couple of old ones and do one about horse riding not being a real sport which made me and Becky angry but all in all was very exciting and so happy I went (was a birthday present).
Waiting for Michael McIntyre to start his show

Shopping with granny
This bit will only be short but yesterday I got home from Becky's and headed straight out again to see granny and take her xmas shopping as she gets very confused now so needs help with it and we needed to get presents for mummy. We couldn't find her main present anywhere and talked to some very unhelpful people in some shops who I got very angry with, they were treating granny like an idiot so I told them we didn't need their help and would be taking our business elsewhere. Finally found the perfect present though and had to order it online so just hope it arrives in time. Got the rest of the presents and had a coffee in cafe Nero which was so lovely, granny almost seemed like her old self and was the most fun we have had together in ages.

Anniversary
Last thing to talk about I promise. This hasn't happened yet but today I am driving up to Kingston to see Nick. I haven't seen him now for nearly 2 weeks so I am very excited. It is our 1 year anniversary tomorrow and I can't wait, it is the first time I have ever been with someone this long and I don't know exactly what we are doing but I think we are going to the Winter Wonderland thing in Hyde Park which sounds so cute :) I got him a  card and an advent calender as our anniversary is the first of December and we said no presents but I thought an advent calender would be perfect. Feels like ages since I saw him but he's got a bit of a cold so hope he isn't too ill and it is still fun, excited to see his house and meet his hosuemates as well! Only staying until Sunday as he has lots of work to do but it is still better than nothing. I will try to post again letting you know how it went.

Hope you all have a great weekend

Fainting, horse riding and fireworks

Well this week has been eventful! Obviously the first part was the usual boring mush that seems to happen at uni then on Wednesday it all went interesting. Had my morning lecture as usual and then went home for a bit before heading back to uni to get a lift with Charlotte, Sian and India to a vet place that was over and hour away! Now the trip wasn't the exciting bit, in fact it was the biggest waste of time ever, there weren't even any horses and the tour was only 12 mins and considering the travelling time took over 2 hours was rather a wast but it is what wasn't meant to happen that is interesting. Now I was happily plodding along on the tour bored out of my mind when we are standing listening and I suddenly start to feel a bit sick. Thinking nothing of it I carry on standing and the sick feeling gets worse and worse. Eventually I walk toward my lecturer to say I need to go outside for some fresh air and  as I walk towards her my head starts spinning meaning she has to hold me up and as we walk outside my eyesight goes fussy and I  blank out for a second. Next thing I know I am outside and India has joined us and has a bottle of water for me. Within minutes of sitting down and having some water I felt fine again but everyone says I was a white as a sheet just before I walked out and I still have no idea why it happened, but it was very exciting, I have never fainted before! Also meant I got to miss the last bit of the boring talk.

So that was Wednesday's excitement now for Thursday. On Thursday I woke up at half 7 to get ready before heading off to the riding stables with Bea, Becky and Jo. Got there and found out I could ride Spotty the same horse as last time (we didn't get along too well last time but I wanted to try and improve and work out how to ride her). So on we got and straight away I felt a difference, I was so much more relaxed and as she is quite a forward going horse I just let her go at her pace rather than holding her back and fighting with her. This worked amazingly and by the end of the lesson we were working as a team and I was in love with her. The instructor said it was incredible difference from last time and I did amazingly. So that was good, then drove speedily back to Oxford, dropped the girls and got changed before driving exactly the same direction again back home to granny to join her and Auntie Ann for lunch in Prezzo (second Prezzo meal of the week with her lucky me) where I  had crab cakes again and then some past thing granny had last time. Then went to Primark and bought a new jacket (brown leather with a fluffy hood) which is so nice the inside is like dressing gown material so is really warm and love it. Granny wasn't in the best of forms she's really getting old now and starting to forget a lot and gets confused very easily like I had to order lunch for her as she couldn't remember what she liked and she got confused by the topping on the pizza etc.

Friday I saw George! She was home for her reading week so was so nice, went over to her house and had dinner and watched TV and chatted and things which was great and talked about her Birthday which is in a couple of weeks and I am going back up to Sheffield for so need to find an outfit for that.

Yesterday we went back to granny and then to pick up Nick so he could meet Auntie Ann and Coco. The drove back to his before heading off to the Wellington Fireworks! Now for anyone that knows me they know I LOVE fireworks so I was bouncing along like a little child and we got there, had a little walk around before deciding to line up for some food which took over and hour! By the time we got to the from the fireworks were starting but had a pretty good view anyway and the chicken burger was really nice. Then moved to another space to get an even better view of the fireworks and watched them while having a cuddle, was absolutely perfect. I know its so stupid and girly but I have always wanted to watch fireworks while being cuddled by my boyfriend and it had never happened before, always just been with friends and so this was like a dream come true and it was as perfect as I had hoped. The actually fireworks ere AMAZING! They honestly were the best I have ever seen but I wish they could have gone on forever, I could watch all night. Once they had finished we went a bit closer to take a look at the bonfire and then started the walk home with a quick stop at the shop to get some crisps and a drink. I was absolutely frozen by the time we got back to Nick's, body was nice and toasty from my new coat but fingers and nose were like ice cubes. All in all though has been a nice second half of the week and mummy is back on Tuesday yay :D Always feel like weekends go so quickly though, Nick is back to uni today, Auntie Ann has just left with Coco to go back to Wales and Bruno is in Bill's so it is rather lonely here I have to say.
One of the photos I took at the fireworks, it doesn't make them look very impressive but it was very difficult to get photos so this one I just thought looked quite pretty

Me and Spotty after our riding lesson on Thursday. She's a little tired but I think we make a good team and I think some very nice person should buy her for me haha

Hope you had a good weekend.
Diet is going so well by the way, am sooooo happy.

Second essay complete

Half way there, 2/4 of my essays due this term have now been handed in. Now there not very good, god knows I don't even know if they will pass but that's not for me to worry myself about now, got a week or so before that needs to be thought about, the point is they are done and out of the way and even if they are terrible I have still completed the essays with the correct word count etc so feeling rather proud of myself right now.

This week has been long (its only Tuesday and I am already able to say that). The weekend was good but I was a little psycho to say the least, cry and getting angry for no reason, think it's sorted now wasn't a nice feeling. Mum has been away for a week now and it has gone quick I guess but still got a week until she is back and am honestly counting every second, can't wait to see her again, im such a mummys girl it's so strange without her. Auntie Ann arrived at home yesterday to look after Bruno for the week and so I got to meet her new dog Coco who is just the cutest thing ever, will put a photo of her bellow. I am here in Oxford as you probably guessed, currently writing up some of my notes into neat and watching some TV haha the exciting student life I lead. Tomorrow I have a lecture in the morning and the a trip to a local vets in the afternoon which im hopefully getting a lift with one of the girls to. Then Thursday morning I have a riding lesson again and then home time as my lecture has been cancelled in the afternoon. Bit annoying really, I have to drive to riding which is only 20mins away from my house and then drive all the way back to Oxford to drop the girls off and then drive all the way home again but has to be done. Going to race home in order to try and get back as soon as I can as granny and Auntie Ann are going out for lunch so if I am quick I can tag along and another nice meal out (went to Prezzo with granny on Sunday).

Meet Coco
Hopefully Nick will come back at some point this weekend, im not sure when but maybe we could go to the Wellington fireworks if he sin't busy? Anyway be nice to see Bruno and Coco again and love being at home so much even when I am just there alone it is so much nicer than being here. Can't really complain though it is 3 more weeks until revision week begins and then I only have 2 exams and then xmas holidays and after xmas (which is a whole month long) I have about 8 weeks until Easter which is 2 weeks and then it's only revision and exams before the summer holidays begin again and I can move back home.

Hope your having a good week

Trick or Treat

You can probably guess what the topic of my post is today, yes that's right it's Halloween!

Halloween is split up into 3 types of people who love it;

1) Little children who dress up and go trick or treating to get as many sweets and chocolate from their neighbours as they can

2) Students who just want to dress up (girls normally as slutty as possible) and get really drunk

3) Americans (just an observation but Americans do seem to LOVE Halloween)

So, I suppose I fit into the second category but I can't say I am the biggest fan of it, I mean I know people who were as excited about Halloween as they are about Christmas, in my eyes there is no comparison, Christmas is a time about family and friends and warmth and happiness, Halloween is about trying to scare people etc, not anywhere near as fun.

But I did participate, Im not a complete scrooge about it and I did dress up (as a zombie cat haha) and I did go to a Halloween party and then to a club and I did have fun. I can't say my experience of Halloween has been great since being a student, last year I spent hours getting ready and a decent amount of money, only to get to the club and realise I wasn't with any of my friends, text them and find out they all went straight back home as one of the girls was being sick so I got a taxi back home after only being in the club 10mins. This year wasn't nearly this bad although I didn't spend very long getting ready or any money (I made my cat ears out of paper) as I wasn't expecting a great night. The house party was really fun then we decided to head to the club, walked out the front door and it was tipping it down with rain! So we RAN the mile journey to the club by which time I was already pretty wet, only to then have to line up outside and wait another 30mins to get in, it is safe to say by the time I got in the club I was soaked! At this point I decided I was not staying long I was not getting pneumonia for the sake of a night out but stayed about half an hour as I had payed for my ticket might as well have a bit of a boogy. Luckily I found another of my friends in the club who was smashed out of her face and needed to go home so walked to the chip shop with her and then sat there chatting for about an hour hearing her whole life story and helping her through some problems before deciding it was far too wet and cold and I went home to dry off and snuggle up in bed. All in all a much better Halloween than the last but still not great.

How I started the night looking as a nice and dry zombie cat

How I looked by the time I got into the club, as you can see I wasn't enjoying  the rain much!
For a change I am still at uni tonight even though it is a Thursday I would just be home alone if I went back tonight so decided to stay. I am going back around lunch time tomorrow and will pick Bruno up from the dog sitter as I don't want to be home alone. Am seeing Nick Saturday, not sure what we are going to do but will keep you posted, hope everyone had a good Halloween :)

Deadlines are looming

Just a short blog today as I am very busy as I am about to explain.

Today is my first deadline and I am currently still writing it, I am still only just half way through it and am still confused about what it is I am actually supposed to be doing, great really isn't it? At least I have till midnight to complete it so that's a positive but I have never been so worried about submitting a piece of work in my life, I genuinely am so confused about what to include etc so thinking it wont be my best mark yet btu as long as I pass I have a chance to make it up with the MCQ and the final exam.

So yer that's about all I have to say for now as I really should be cracking on with it but jsut a quick word of wisdom from someone who is struggling, don't leave essays until the last min, it doesn't work and I know people wont listen to me, I didn't when people told me last year and I probably wont change now but really don't leave it till the last min it just causes stress and worry!

So on I go to try and get this done, wish me luck and prey the marker is nice to me

Night on the tiles

Evening all,

So it's the end of the weekend so time for another catch up. This week was fairly short with me only being in Oxford for 3 nights, the first night I went to the pub with a girl from the RAG society and ended up staying until 11 eating cheesy chips and drinking cocktails which was nice, Tuesday 2 of my aunties came to take me out for dinner, we went for drinks before and then to Browns for a lovely meal and was so nice to see them both, hopefully they can come see me again soon, and then on Wednesday me and Laura went out to the cinema to see The Perks Of Being A Wall Flower which was a lot better than I had expected and would recommend any girls who like girlyiss movies (or guy who like them for that matter). Then we planned to go have a quiet drink so found a nice little bar but 2mins after ordering the waiter came over and said we had to leave as the ceiling was leaking and may fall down! So we drank as quickly as possible and headed to McDonalds for a cheeky bite to eat then back home again. The next day I came back home so all in all not very long spent in Oxford so can't complain too much.

This weekend has been nice, spent Thursday evening with mummy and then Friday just relaxing with mum again. Yesterday I had a really nice day, Becky came over for the afternoon so a lot of talking was done and a small bit of shopping before she left and I started preparations for my night out :) Now here it is quite lengthy but I can't be bothered to go into it all so long story short I haven't been out clubbing with Nick very many times so i was really excited but slightly nervous to be going with him as I knew he would be wanting to spend time with the guys and expect me to hang out with the girls (1 of whome I have met once and the other I haven't ever met). So we got to his friends house for pre drinks and I was a bit shy but after a couple of drinks I started chatting to the girls a little more and on the train journey into Reading we got talking a lot more and actually got on really well so once we were in the club and had found our VIP table off we went to dance and wasn't a problem not having Nick around. Was really nice though he would appear every so often and give me a cuddle and stay and dance with us for a bit before going back to his boys again or come get me a drink. All in all was one of the best nights out I have had, got a McDonalds before taxi back to Nicks. Going to have to go now get him as he is coming to stay tonight, I have an essay in for Tuesday that I am no where near finished and don't really understand the question so that's not exactly brilliant.

Mum is off to Tanzania on Tuesday so going to miss her a lot but on the plus side once she is back then it isn't long until we break up for Christmas which I am super excited about haha
Anyway bye bloggers

Magic piano

Weekly catch up time as I am useless!

I have realised I don't really blog when I am in Oxford, not sure why just don't have the motivation to do it. So it's Friday and I have the whole of the past 2 weeks to catch you up on, but don't worry I wont bore you with it all, forget the week before this, that was so long ago I don't even remember what I did.

Last weekend was a very different one to normal. As you may have noticed I have been coming home from uni at weekends, but last weekend was different. After a lot of stress and worry (won't go into that) Nick texted me to tell me he was on the train to Oxford so off I drove to pick him up from the station and for the first time ever I got to the station early! This meant I was able to park my car and go inside so could give him a cuddle as he arrived. We drove my car back to the new parking space I have rented near my house, parked it and got a bus back into town to do some shopping. I didn't get anything but Nick got the nicest new chinos, a tshirt and a cardigan that I found and looked so good on him, so he bought them all (only later to leave the whole bag on the train home again, stupid boy). We went back to my house, he got the grand tour and we fell asleep for  hours!!!!! Finally waking up at 8pm realising we still needed to eat so decided to go get a KFC variety bucket (meant for  people) and did a very good job of eating it all.
My beautiful flowers from Nick <3

Next day we had a little bit of a lie in before packing up and driving back to the station where we had some lunch while waiting for his train and he bought me the most beautiful bunch of flowers. Nick got on the train and I got in my car and started the long journey up to Sheffield to stay with George for the rest of the weekend. I got a little stuck in traffic and had to stop at a service station a couple of hours into the drive but I think it only took about 3 hours in total and was so lovely to see Goerge once I arrived who was still hobbling a little bit after having 2 lumber punctures in hospital (luckily she was walking normally again by the time I left on Monday ). When I arrived I got a tour of their very confusing house and we just sat and chatted for a while before deciding to get Dominos for dinner. Being a Saturday it was Xfactor on so we went down into the kitchen to watch it and ate ice cream and had face masks then played pictionary until about 1am. Then deciding it was quite late we headed to bed and chatted a bit more before going to bed. The next day passed very quickly as we didn't actually get out of bed until 4pm, ordered an Indian takeaway (yes 3rd takeway in a row) and heading to church. Now I am not usually a church goer but with how down I have been feeling lately I thought it would be nice to go along with George and see how I found it. It was so lovely, I even cried at one point and left feeling like the world was actually full of nice people for once. After church we went to the pub until deciding to go home. The next day was my last day in Sheffield, we woke up and walked over to Helena's apartment which is AMAZING I want to live there, we chatted and everything before deciding to head into town and do some shopping, I decided I needed the loo before going to went in and when I tried to get out of the loo the door woudn't open!!!!! I was stuck, HELP! After about 15mins of George and Helena telling me to stay calm and twisting the door handle back and forward I was convinced I was going to die in the toilet or the firemen would have to come save me, in reality George kicked the door in and I was finally free. After this stressfull ordeal we headed into town where I got 2 new hats (a woolly bobble hat and a snap back :D I am a gangsta now) and a new Iphone case to replace my old broken one. We had a McDonalds (yes 4th takeway) and went back to Georges. By this time it was about 5pm and I knew if I didn't leave soon it would be too late to drive back so I said my goodbyes and started the drive. I eventually got back about 4 hours later due to getting stuck in rush hour traffic etc,

So that was my eventful weekend, now onto the week. I got back to Oxford Monday, had a full day of lecturers Tuesday and then Roz came over in the evening, I cooked us curry and we watched the final of the Great British Bake Off with a couple of drinks before heading to the pub for another drink. Was so nice to see her and I hope we can do more things like that. Wednesday I had morning lectures and then in the evening watched Matilda with Laura and then yesterday was Thursday. In my lecture we had to dissect a horse uterus and horse penis! Was quite gross but interesting and of course we made the only boy in the class dissect the penis. Once the dissecting was over I went back home and wrote up some of my notes and packed up the car and off I drove home (via the SU for an hour to go to retro gaming society, which in normal peoples words is a lot of geeks sitting around playing Mario Kart haha). Now here I am back home and happy :)

I have to go get ready to go to the opticians now to see if the scratch on my eye has healed itself so fingers crossed. Will blog again at some point this weekend but just so happy to be home after being away for nearly 2 weeks!

No longer a teenager

Happy Sunday bloggers.

So I am back home yet again haha (not doing a very good job of staying at uni at the moment but there doesn't seem much point when everything I need is at home). So anyway, I had an excuse this weekend to come home, MY 20TH BIRTHDAY! Yes you heard right I am no longer a teenager but a fully fledged 20 year old! So I came home on Friday as usual after having my birthday night out in Oxford on Thursday which was actually pretty good as my friends from last year came and so I didn't end up alone as usual. On my birthday yesterday I woke up, had my cards that had arrived and got money etc from aunties and granny (bought a new sat nav with it as someone went into my car in Oxford which I left unlocked by mistake stupid me, and stole it). I didn't have presents until the afternoon once mummy had collected granny and I had got Nick. From mum and granny I got a digital flat screen TV with built in DVD player to have in my room at uni, from daddy I got a necklace with a pink heart shaped crystal and he is either paying to get my camera fixed or buying me a new camera, will just have to wait for that a while as he is away. I was so worried about Nick's present to me as I hadn't given him any ideas and was super worried he would get me something I hate and would have to pretend to like it. But he bought me the most beautiful bracelet from Tiffany's (have put a photo of it bellow) so all in all I feel like a very lucky and spoilt girl. In the evening the 4 of us went to Peacock Farm which is a sort of posh pub style food place, Everyone else was doubtful that it would be nice but I thought it looked lovely and I was right. The food was really nice we had a mezze platter to share to start with all sorts of breads and things, then me and granny both had a chicken with BBQ sauce thing and chips,Nick had fish and chips and mummy had a steak pie, all were lovely then had mini desert of lemon cheesecake thing. Was so nice and relaxed and wish daddy had been there but had most of my favourite people. Then came back and watched xfactor.

Today Nick went back to uni :( I don't go until tomorrow but he is coming up to see me on Friday and then I am off to Sheffield to see George and Helena on Saturday. Hopefully the week goes quickly as I have a lot of work to do and a riding lesson on Thursday.

6 months! How am I going to do this

Right know I really don't know how I am going to make it through 6 months of this! I am so unhappy. Daddy said i should get a job to give me something to do, I think he is right but I don't know what to do? I just need some guidance and help. I really don't think university is for me, I realised this last year but am too stubborn to give up and hear I am unhappy yet again. Still, only 6 more months till I am done with my second year and can finally move back home where I can be happy. Tomorrow I might be going to the riding social where I don't know anyone but hopefully can meet some of them and maybe give me something to keep me busy. Then on Thursday it is mine (not really I know the other girl will take it over) Birthday night out, finally get to see Roz again which should be good. Then home time :D I just don't understand how the whole country seems to love uni yet for me it is hell!

I need to snap out of this, so many people have far worse lives and all I have to complain about is that I don't enjoy uni, it's selfish I know but I just feel so unhappy, I can only hope it gets better. I am trying so hard in everything I do and starting riding again next week so hope that goes well.

Am going to stop writing now before I get any more irritating.
Don't know what I would do without my friends at home and everything, your the only things getting me through this so thank you.

Year 2 begins

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while but have moved back to Oxford and don't have internet yet (hopefully we will on Tuesday but not hopeful). Anyway, it's been an odd week and a bit, settling into my new house is harder than I expected, the house is amazing, it has been totally done up and everything is new so that's great but it just doesn't feel like home yet, I think I need to get a few more bits and pieces for my bedroom as it's really big and still feels quite empty, and there is some plaster on the wall that needs painting, but that wont be done for about a month, sure once all these things are done it will feel more like home. The girls are so lovely and I think I am bonding with them a little bit more each day it's just quite tough moving into a house with an already very tightly formed friendship group. Everyone keeps telling me and I know they are right, that I just need to give it time.

So I moved in on the 20th (Thursday) and it's now the 1st October :D (so happy September is over, personally September hasn't been a good month for me in previous years so to have got it over with without a hitch this year has made me very happy and my superstition has gone). Anyway, it's now Monday and I have been at home since Friday (I had to come home to look after Bruno Saturday but decided to stay a little longer) I hope that having been home for a little bit will make me feel slightly happier in Oxford, I have lots too look forward to as I have joined the dance society again in order to to fitness and have also joined the riding society :D I went to the welcome meeting on Thursday and was so happy everyone seemed lovely and met a few people who seem to be a similar level to me so hopefully we will start riding next week (for only £13.50!!!!).

Lectures have been ok, nothing special and I still need to write up my notes as I am trying to actually do work this year so I do better than last year, this is a lot harder than you think though so I will do my best.

This weekend has been lovely, I came home Friday and suddenly got a text from Nick saying he wasn't going to Portsmouth for the night any more but was staying in Kingston for the night to go to the gym etc so I started writing up some of my lecture notes (which I really should be doing now) when I got a second text saying 'want to come over? I am home. Surprise!' He was home early ! So off I went and got a few extra hours with him in which we drove to Farnham to collect his football kit etc and got time to talk and just relax as I hadn't seen him in 8 days! This is the longest we have gone in about 6 months, it felt like a lifetime so getting some extra time was amazing. I came home Friday evening and had dinner with mummy, she cooked me such a lovely meal of steak etc and bought all my favourite foods from Tesco then we spent the evening watching TV.

Saturday morning mummy left to take granny shopping in Portsmouth for the day and then staying over night there, leaving me in charge of Bruno. I just chilled in the day, walked Bruno a bit and then at about 7 went to pick up Nick and brought him back to mine. We watched Dr Who and then ordered a Chinese takeaway and continued to watch a lot of TV. At about 10 I started to feel a bit like I had a cold and it gradually got worse through the night, yesterday I didn't feel good at all but I took it easy, Nick went back to uni and I feel a bit better this morning.

I think this is all I have to say for now and as soon as I next have internet I will write again but I don't know when it will be so sorry.
10 months with Nick today <3
It's my birthday this week! I will be 20 on Saturday :D

Packing for uni #1

Hi all,

So tomorrow lunchtime my mum and me will be driving up to Oxford with all my stuff so I can move into my new house. We arn't taking 2 cars because I have so much stuff (although I do have a lot) but because I need my car at uni so I can get back home etc. Trying to park is going to be an absolute nightmare as my new house is on a narrow but very busy street with parking on either side of the road, trying to find one space is going to be difficult enough let alone 2! Once I have them I will post some photos of the inside of the house but as of now I do not have any and have only been inside of it once before, but from what I can remember the house is pretty big :) It has 6 bedrooms (well hopefully they are supposed to be converting the attic into the 6th bedroom) and a large kitchen with dining table and sitting area. At the moment there is only one bedroom but I was told when they convert the attic another one may also be put in so we shall have to wait and see. I am moving in with 5 other girls from my uni, one who is going into her 3rd year and the other 4 are all in the same year as me (2nd). My bedroom has a double bed and a back door leading into the back patio area but that's about all I can remember so will have to write again once I am there to give more details. I don't think everyone is moving into the house tomorrow but I think there will be 4 or 5 of us so hopefully we will go out or something and have time to get to know each other as I don't know the girls particularly well yet. The photo above is one of my house mates Evie and the house (it's the house on the right that she is actually standing in front not the left one.)

Seeing as it is only about 24 hours until I will be packing the cars up ready to leave for Oxford, you would expect me to be all packed and ready to go? Wrong! I did yesterday evening start sorting out my kitchen equipment but got bored and so stopped. This means today I have a stupid amount of things to do, I need to wash all my clothes, organise what clothes I am taking and pack them in my suitcase, go to Tesco and do a food shop so I have food to eat when I get there, collect my contact lenses, go to Boots to get some makeup, go to the gym and probably some other things I can't think of right now. All this needs to be done before tonight as Nick is coming back (he went to uni on Monday for a bit of his freshers week) to spend my last night here with me which is so sweet of him and mummy is buying us Indian for dinner :)

I will post again later when I have progressed more with the packing etc, wish me luck

Back in the saddle

Today I got back on a horse for the first time in over a year. I hadn't stopped riding because I was scared or anything it was purely because I couldn't afford it as it is pretty expensive and haven't really had time with work, uni etc. But I did it, I had become quite nervous of riding as I hadn't been in so long so was shaking when I got there (after getting lost for a while and having to phone for directions). So I got to the stables (Rycroft in Eversley), they checked my hat to make sure it was correct which luckily it was, then took me to see my horse, Zac. He was gorgeous but very big, I would say 16hh which is alot larger than the 15hh and below pony type horses I used to ride but I could tell he was a lovely boy (photo of someone else not me riding him bellow, sorry it is so small but is the only photo I could find). Anyway we led him into the outdoor arena and up I got with one big jump I was finally back sitting on a horse. I wont go into loads of detail about it as it will be very boring but we started with the basics of walk, trot and canter and some circles and change of reins etc. Then the instructor started getting me a Zac working together more and getting my position (which after a year was terrible) back to standard and getting Zac into a neat outline. By the end of this the lesson was over, far too quickly for my liking but off I popped and untacked Zac and back home I came. I haven't been so happy in ages and haven't stopped smiling since I started the lesson, it all went perfectly and now am looking forward to joining the equine society at uni and hopefully continuing my lessons there.

DBARC

This post is coming a few days late I am aware I am getting lazy with my blogging again. So on Sunday me, my mum, my granny and Bruno all made the long journey to the other side of Reading for the annual DBARC fun day which as always had a fun dog show as the main attraction. The venue for the fun day was amazing, it was in the grounds of this huge house and there were just miles and miles of fields and a lovely river with people rowing and things. So we got to the show just after 10 where I was upset to see the classes had already started and I was too late to enter Bruno in best veteran (usually the class he does the best in) so instead I entered him for best collie or collie cross (turned out to be a fix as the judge was from the BOARDER collie society so only dogs which looked like boarder collies did well. George, her mum and her dog Finley also came along to the show but left after entering only one class as hey had other things to do. Then we went in for best DBARC dog (DBARC is the rescue centre that was holding the show and the place we got Bruno from 11 years ago) anyway we went in for this class thinking we had no chance, all of the dogs were very sweet and playful and there were over 30 in the class! Bruno being his usual laid back self just lay down and went to sleep and even when the judge came over he didn't really show any excitement (no hope for us placing now as all of the other dogs were saying hello and wagging their tails at the judge). Anyway it came to placing the dogs who had won and he went through 6th, 5th, 4th, 3rd, then came to second, started walking towards Bruno and handed him the rosset!!! I was so happy, fair enough it wasn't 1st like last week but 2nd in a class this big is still amazing. Bruno looked happy and mummy and granny were thrilled. We left the show not long after this as granny was tired and so was Bruno but before we left we picked up a drawing of Bruno we had paid a man to do at the show which I think is adorable and looks a lot like Bruno. Was a lovely day in total, mum brought a picnic which we ate in the sun by the car and even though I got a little sun burnt it was nice to be out in the sun and Bruno fell straight to sleep once home bless him.
Drawing of Bruno we had done and his second place rosset

Bruno all tired from coming second and ready to head home

Here is the link to the rescue centres website, if you are looking to get a new pet (they have cats and small animals as well as dogs) then I really would advice looking at rescue centres as there are so many lovely dogs in then needing new homes. http://www.dbarc.org.uk/

The dog show was of course the main topic of this post but just a quick note about yesterday. Yesterday me and Nick went for a late lunch/early dinner to The Leather Bottle in Hook which used to be a Bluebeckers restaurant. These used to be my favourite places to go and eat but I was really disappointed as they have changed the menu and it just isn't the same as the old one. Was a nice meal anyway but just wish they would change back to the old one.

Paralympic's

As promised I am going to write a post about my trip to the Paralympic's yesterday.

So I headed over to Nick's house at about 2 in the aftenoon as the original plan was to drive up to Heathrow to pick his mum up from work and then to go into London from there. In the end she came home first so I had a few hours at Nick's just watching TV and getting excited about the trip to London we would soon be embarking on. Once we finally left Nick's dad drove me, Nick and his mum to Wokingham station where luckily we were just about to miss the train to Waterloo meaning we chose to drive up instead, allowing me to sleep the whole journey. Once there we got the Jubilee Line to the Olympic Park where I got very excited and started acting like a little kid at Christmas. The park is huge! We walked around a bit and went through security etc before deciding to go get some dinner in McDonalds (as I had been told it is the biggest in Europe or something), it was indeed enormousness with about 30 counters etc, so we left Nick's dad to get the food and headed out to find a table.

After eating we headed into the stadium which was completely packed, almost every seat was taken and had quite a good view after being warned they wern't great seats, I couldn't complain about them. During the time we watched we saw, long jump, discus, shot put and lots of running. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing and had a lot of fun with all the different Mexican waves that went around the stadium. We stayed till about half 9 before deciding it was a good idea to make a move to avoid the 80,000 people all trying to leave the stadium at the same time. Got the tube back and then drove back to Nick's for the night.

I  hate tubes and seem to hate them a little bit more every time I go on one, they are hot, squashed and make me feel sick! Glad I don't have to go on them everyday. Anyway this is the end of my post I shall now show you some photos from my trip :)

The Legoland adventure is over

I have done it! I made it through the whole summer at Legoland, I laughed, I cried and had many many good days but just as many bad day's but however much the customers shouted at me, however many plates I dropped and broke, I made it till the end and am proud to say I have now had a full time job. So yesterday was my last day and was just an average day, was on kitchen end which was actually quite fun we just messed around at the end and things, but after wanting to leave so much I was actually a bit sad when the time came to take my inform off for the last time. But on with the new stage I suppose, it's a summer I will never forget and met some amazing people, but now it's time to relax for a few weeks before heading back to uni.

Am going to the Paralympics today with Nick and his parents! So excited, we're seeing the athletics this evening and I have a Union Jack to take and everything. Will blog tomorrow to let you know how it was.

Swallowfield Show

So today me, Hen, Heather and Bruno took a road trip to Swallowfield Show. This is a show I go to every year and has a horse show and dog show as well as other attractions. I went with no interest in entering the dog show as Bruno is 12 now and the last show I took him too he seemed a little nervous and didn't want to be there in the large crowds etc. So I took him along just so he could see if he liked the environment and too my surprise he didn't act nervous at all! So I did it, I entered him in the dog show having said no more dog shows for him. AND WE WON! Oh yes not only did we win the best veteran category (getting him a lovely rossett) but we went on to win best in show veteran getting another rossett and a rose plant haha. He has never won a best in show title before and so I am the most proud dog owner in the world. I think he is amazing for his age and it's just fabulous to see other people agree with me. Need to keep and eye on the website to see the photos that they took of us today, so excited. Anyway here it is, the photo of me and Bruno with our winnings.

RIP Iphone

Haven't blogged in a little while.

This post is dedicated to my old Iphone 4S who sadly went missing in the early hours of last Saturday morning. Ok, so it was in fact 100% my fault that I lost my beloved Iphone as I went out to Reading with some of my friends to say goodbye to a friend who is going abroad to study medicine at university. I managed to keep hold of my phone the whole night including in the taxi, yet somehow when it came to getting out of the taxi it seems it remained inside the car while I left. I then proceeded to go to bed and not realise the precious phone was missing until the next morning when all hell broke loose when I realised it was missing. Called O2, got my sim blocked, called police, got phone reported stolen (now the phone is practicaly useless so why would anyone want it?), called taxi company, got my taxi driver to call me back and after hours of hoping he was going to tell me he did in fact have my phone his response was 'darling you had the phone in your hand when you got out of the car'. NO I DIDN'T! If I had it in my hand then it would be in my house, it is not in my house so either Mr 'nice' taxi man was lying to me or he genuinely thought I had it in my hand and the people that got in the taxi after me found it and stole it! Either way I am not a happy bunny. Why wouldn't you hand it in if you found it? I loved that phone so much, so anyway RIP Iphone 4S and hello silly 3GS. Long story short I had to cope with my mums old Nokia phone for about 2 days (so old it had snake on it) until I came home to find she has bought an Iphone 3GS from a car boot sale for me to borrow until I can afford a new 4 (probably wont be able to get a 4S as they are too expensive but I didn't really use siri anyway) so at least I do have an Iphone again now but it just isn't the same as my old one which I am still living in hope will be found again (wishful thinking).

Moral of this story: 1.Don't get too drunk that you forget to pick up your phone
                              2. Don't take an expensive phone on a night out

Profile Picture

So, changed my profile picture to the one I have also posted below. Took it the other day and rather like it (which is a very rare occurrence). It was taken by me on my iphone on my day off, so I had had a fair amount of time to sort my makeup and things out and obviously you can see it has been edited but I like it :) I know it's not pretty but it's one of the best photos I have of me so you don't need to tell me that I am not pretty or a model haha I know!

I haven't done too much recently apart from work (I am aware my blogs seem to be a bit boring atm as all I seem to do is go to work) but I am planning on cutting down to only 4 days a week and only have about 3 weeks left until I leave anyway so hopefully I will start having a few more interesting things to say then :)

Anyway, I have work at 10am tomorrow so going to bed now as I am super tired but don't forget if you are reading these don't be afraid to comment and/or follow me, the more the merrier and will always reply to any comments. Night bloggers

Diet rant

I have never been one of those girls that feels they are beautiful. I have always been the 'chubby' one and even recently now that I have lost a fair amount of weight I am still not happy of confident in how I look at all. My friends, family and boyfriend all say that I am not fat and everything but however much they say it I just can't understand it. This is probably quite a depressed post but it's something I know a lot of girls out there will relate to. I know I am a very healthy weight for my height and am at the weight I always hoped I would get down to but now I am here I still want to lose another half stone and it just wont come off. I have cut out most junk food (with the exception of the odd treat) and go to the gym as many days as I can. I have a job that involves me being on the move all the time yet I just can't shift this last half stone and it's making me really self conscious. I suppose this post doesn't have much of a point other than to let other girls like me know that it's not just you, and I am still trying to get the body I want and will blog every so often with updates on how I am doing. Also, recently I have started to wonder if it's not actually the fact that I can't lose weight that's making me so self concious but I have started looking into Body Dismorphic Disorder and think I may have a mild case of it, I don't see how people can not think I am fat when all I see in the mirror is flubber, its hard to think that maybe when I look in the mirror what I see isn't actually what I look like. End of rant

E.L.F make-up shop

So recently on a friend of mines blog I read about the website E.L.F and decided to take a look for myself. When I went on I was super excited at how cheap everything is, most make-up brushes are like £1.50 and things like that so I decided to get myself a few products to try out. First I got the clear lash/eyebrow mascara (haven't actually tried any of this yet so will blog again to let you know how it goes, second I got the eyebrow pencil and then eyebrow stencils (just too see what they are like but after having a look tbh I don't think I really like them but they were only £1.50 so it doesn't really matter). Then I got my 2 make-up brushes, a foundation brush and then a blusher brush. All of these things including postage came to just under £20 which I think is pretty good.
Will do another blog at some point once I have tried everything out to let you know how it goes. Other than this not much else to report, went bowling with mum, her bf and his son tonight then had KFC but that's all I have done today other than work of course.

The Dark Knight Rises

So, on Sunday evening Nick and I went to the cinema to see the new Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises. As I have never really been a Batman fan I decided I should do some catching up so on Friday and Saturday evening I watched the first and second of the films so I was all ready to watch the new one on Sunday. The first film I watched and didn't really find that amazing but then I watched the second and loved it so was really excited to see the new one which really didn't disappoint. Apart from the fact that it is a very long film it was soooo good and loved it I would defiantly recommend it to anyone that hasn't seen it yet but if I was you I would watch the first 2 first, I know it's a drag but the new one makes a lot more sense if you know the background.

Apart from the cinema I haven't really done that much, just working a lot and going to the gym so don't have anything else to post for now but will once I do :)

Shopping Spree

So today I went with one of my best friends Heather shopping and in a bit I will tell you what I bought. But first I wanted to post a quick bit about my new perfume and the inspiration for my blog title.  So I was bought this as a present by my boyfriend and the first thing I noticed about it was the packaging. From the outside this perfume looks as if it is going to be quite a sickly sweet smelling one but as I am quite girly the packaging did appeal to me. Once I opened the packaging the bottle was far more appropriate to the market it is aimed at as it is not a cheap perfume by far at £45 for a 50ml bottle. As you can see the bottle itself is a dark purple heart shape, covered in sequin type things, these can be fairly annoying as they do tend to fall off and end up all over your hands. The lid is silver and in the shape of a crown with a silver ring with pink stones in under (this can be removed and worn as an actual ring). The smell of the perfume itself is really nice in my opinion. It isn't particularly sweet causing it to be a slightly more grown up smell (not for young girls more the older teen/adult). I really love mine and would recommend it to anyone wanting a good perfume.

Vera Wang, Princess Night 50ml bottle
So, now onto my shopping. It wasn't as productive as I hoped and didn't find any clothes that I liked, but still found myself some treats to buy, so here they are.

First I found some Ugg style slippers that you can see on the left, I tried them on and just had to have them, they are so soft and snuggley and at only £6 were a real must I felt. Next I got my bag, its a largish bag in a sort of creamy/beige colour with a scarf round the handle. Not only did I think this was a cute bag so decided to get it but I need a slightly bigger bag to carry my books at uni (I know that I will buy another before then but good excuse) and it was only £12 so hardly going to break the bank. My third item is my pair of union jack knickers. As it is London 2012 at the moment I thought these were also a must so I can show my support! That's all I got today but when I came home I did some online shopping and have bought some new make up brushes etc so just got to wait for them to arrive now.

Apart from shopping today I haven't done terribly much but am planning on going to the gym in a little bit then I am back to work again tomorrow.

New start

I have decided to start this new blog because my old one was just so full up with random blogs going back 2/3 years with me talking about stupid things that are no longer relevant so I decided to start again and this time I am giving myself blog rules;

1.No indirect blogging about people/friends (even if they have done something that has really got me angry)
2.No stupid use of initials when talking about people
3.Blogs must have a point not just random thoughts of mine relating to my current mood swing

Now for my goals;
1.Blog as often as possible so blogs don't become super long when I do eventually write them
2.Get 20 followers

If any of my friends have found this, then I should probably explain the name for you. Nick (the boyfriend) came back from holiday 2 days ago and brought me back a bottle of Vera Wang perfume called Princess Night, as I was naming the blog this is the first thing I looked at and so here it is.

For anyone who has found this and doesn't know me, I'm Alex, I'm 19 and live in Berkshire, England. I go to Oxford Brookes University and will be starting my second year in September studying Equine Science. I have a dog named Bruno, he's a Bearded Collie X and 12 years old. I like horse riding (but haven't done much in the past year due to having other things to do that are more important) and currently have a summer job in a restaurant at Legoland Windsor. My favourite colour is pink and I'm quite a typical girl and love seeing my friends etc.  I have a boyfriend called Nick and we have been going out for 8 months now and I still live at home with my mum and Bruno (when I'm not at uni) and see my dad as often as I can but he lives about an hour away. Think that's all the important things that I need to tell you as they are things I will be blogging about.

Will do my first proper blog soon as this was more just an introduction.
